Duchess of Richmond’s Ball

| The Duchess of Richmond's ball was held in Brussels, to honour the Duke of Wellington on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo. The Duke and his officers left the ball in the early hours of the morning for the battlefield, where they defeated the scourge of Europe - Napoleon Bonaparte and his grand army. |
